It’s a family affair

Dad and Daughter duo join forces once again to be a part of our 10th Year Team.

Neil and Emily Sewell will be representing Team Dragonfly at the Great North Run on Sunday 10th September.

Neil has always been a keen runner, but told us in the past he was reluctant to join the masses at an event as big as the Great North Run. After seeing a Tweet we posted saying we were looking for runners in 2014, Neil decided to take the plunge and sign-up.

Needless to say, he absolutely loved the experience and has ran as part of Team Dragonfly every year since.

The following year, inspired by her dad, Emily also signed up to take part in the 2015 event for Josie’s Dragonfly Trust and will be back again this year as one half of our favourite Dad and Daughter duo. Neil said,

“It was fabulous running it together and I missed her last year when she couldn’t join me. I am delighted to say we are back together this year, logging the miles, having some quality Dad and Daughter time and generally getting ready for the big day.”

Neil and Emily do a fantastic job raising funds and awareness for the Trust and being a super techy kind of guy, Neil also helps out when the computers are misbehaving at Dragonfly HQ.

2017 marks 10 years of Josie’s Dragonfly Trust and we are looking for more wonderful people to join our team. Whether you are a seasoned runner, or will be taking on the half marathon distance for the first time, we need your help to make this our best team yet and together we can help young cancer patients leave their footprint on the world.
