We are delighted to introduce our inaugural Dragonfly Awards celebrating outstanding contributions by UK businesses who have made a positive impact on young cancer patients and their families.

Best Memory Making Destination

Celebrating organisations committed to creating a fun, safe and memorable experience for families and young people.

Awarded to Center Parcs UK

The UK network of holiday villages continue to support Dragonfly Cancer Trust by gifting a number of stays that can be allocated to families facing limited time together. With hundreds of activities for all ages and abilities, Center Parcs has been the catalyst for incredibly special memories that will be treasured forever by the families supported by Dragonfly Cancer Trust.

Corporate Philanthropy Award 

Recognising an outstanding commitment and contribution to helping Dragonfly Cancer Trust fulfil its mission.

Awarded to Kans and Kandy

Through a series of considerable donations, Kans and Kandy have changed the landscape of Dragonfly Cancer Trust, enabling the charity reach more young cancer patients and introduce further avenues of support for families.

CSR Team of the Year 

Celebrating a company’s dedication and commitment to raising funds and awareness for Dragonfly Cancer Trust.

Awarded to DoubleTree by Hilton at Newcastle Airport

The Care Committee at DoubleTree by Hilton at Newcastle Airport have rolled out Dragonfly Cancer Trust’s Pound On Your Pillow Appeal by placing branded donation envelopes in all 179 bedrooms. As well as raising vital funds for the charity, the hotel has helped to raise awareness of Dragonfly Cancer Trust with guests travelling far and wide.

Best National Fundraising Initiative 

Awarded to the most innovative and successful fundraising activity across the UK

Awarded to ARTventurers

The creative craft franchise for babies and toddlers held their own dragonfly craft activity across all regions of the UK, raising an incredible £10,000 to fund the contents of Activity Boxes sent to children’s cancer wards by Dragonfly Cancer Trust.

Charity Champion of the Year 

Recognising the impact of an organisation or group that has gone above and beyond to raise the profile of Dragonfly Cancer Trust.

Awarded to The Mussel Club

As one of the largest business networks in the North East, The Mussel Club has played a huge role in raising the profile of Dragonfly Cancer Trust over the past twelve months. With two of the organisers, Matthew Cook and Tom Harvey, taking part in the Sahara Desert Trek for Dragonfly Cancer Trust, they became wonderful ambassadors of the charity, engaging members of The Mussel Club with their fundraising and sparking further interest in the cause within the North East business community.

Tech for Good Award

Awarded to an organisation using digital technology to benefit supporters of Dragonfly Cancer Trust.

Awarded to Nucha

An exciting new fundraising platform in its infancy, Nucha has partnered with Dragonfly Cancer Trust since its beta site launched in 2021. Nucha sponsored the charity’s 2023 Great North Run team, enabling even more individual sponsorship to make a positive impact, as well as inviting runners to use their fundraising platform with no fees to the charity.

Team Impact Award 

Celebrating team’s that have made an exceptional impact on the work of Dragonfly Cancer Trust.

Awarded to Cabaret vs Cancer

The amazing team at Cabaret vs Cancer organise a series of world-class cabaret and burlesque shows to raise funds for a range of cancer charities. By choosing to support Dragonfly Cancer Trust in 2023, they have made an outstanding impact on young cancer patients and their families across the UK.

Collaboration Award 

Recognising organisations that have engaged in outstanding collaborative activity to provide a positive impact.

Awarded to Northumbrian Water

The team at Northumbrian Water have collaborated with Dragonfly Cancer Trust through our Activity Boxes sent to children’s cancer wards across the country. The team used their premises as the base to prepare over 50 Activity Boxes with staff members taking the time to pack each box with love and care before delivery.
